DAY THREE - Pieces are coming together

The pieces of the puzzle are coming together a last. We are now working on the second side of the pole barn. Now up North, working on this pole barn probably would not have been a big to do. Here in Florida, one battles mosquitoes, love bugs, gnats and the high humidity while still trying to create! So we pushed through it the best we could and sprayed a lot of repellent on us.
This was the back part where one time previous tenants had chickens and/or dogs caged there. We kept the wire up in that area because it saved us money.
One would think laying down the 12' board would be simple a job. Just use a shovel to do dig away soil  and level the ground. The problem encountered was what lied beneath the soil. People just dug a hole and buried their trash. Plastic table clothes, PVC sink drain pipes, bottles, cans and the list goes on!  I can understand back in the 1800's there was no trash pickup in the rural areas but the house was placed on the property in 1997 surely there was trash removal!

Success! We did it! Framed the second side and placed chicken wire on the bottom. Thank heavens for a Staple Gun! Sure beats nailing those small 'U' shaped nails and chances are hitting your thumb in the process.
I had an old staple gun that was so hard to squeeze to shoot the staple out. The next day, I went out a purchased a new one. We were at a point in working that we needed two staple guns to complete the job. Not wanting to purchase another staple gun, I took out the old staple gun and used silicone spray on it. It worked great!  Keep a can of silicone spray it sure helps on many problem areas.

Here I am Happy! Why? Well, the old hand made frame that someone gave me, I was able to use as the screen door.  Some time in the future I will have to place chicken wire on it to secure the door from any creature trying to get into the pole barn.
